On Monday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide lost a commitment from 4-star 2020 QB Carson Beck, who had just visited Florida.

Now, it appears the Gators’ current 2020 QB commit — 3-star Gainesville native Anthony Richardson — has seen the writing on the wall.

On Tuesday evening, Richardson announced via Twitter that he was decommitting from Florida and opening his recruitment back up:

Per the 247Sports composite, Richardson is the No. 12 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2020 and the No. 75 overall recruit from the state of Florida.

The Gators are now down to seven players in their 2020 class, and don’t currently have a quarterback. Will they land Beck? We’ll find out in the coming months.
