Brian Flores is out as the Miami Dolphins head coach, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday morning. Flores was among several coaches fired, including Chicago’s Matt Nagy and Minnesota’s Mike Zimmer.

The Dolphins had a rollercoaster-type season as they started 1-7, then went on a big winning streak to reach 9-8, but it wasn’t enough to make the playoffs. Flores was the Dolphins coach the last 3 seasons.

General manager Chris Grier will remain with the team in his current role, ESPN’s Jeff Darlington is reporting.

Flores was 24-25 in 3 seasons as the team’s coach.

Flores and the Dolphins even beat the New England Patriots in Sunday’s season finale, 33-24, and it clinched their second straight winning season. It’s the first time the team has done so since finishing 11-5 in both the 2000 and 2001 seasons.
