The best cornerback in the SEC is leaving early for the NFL Draft, but there’s plenty more where Vernon Hargreaves III came from.

Here are the SEC’s 10 best corners entering the 2016 season.

10. Carlton Davis, Auburn: He was picked on a bit as a freshman, often matched against the opponent’s top target, but he still had three interceptions and eight breakups to rank among the league’s best.

9. Tony Bridges, Ole Miss: Smooth transition from JUCO star to SEC playmaker, he also had 3 INTs last season. He has exceeded his 3-star rating as a high school prospect.

8. Marlon Humphrey, Alabama: Benefitted from redshirt to become playmaker in ‘Bama’s touted secondary. He had 3 INTs and 8 breakups, and he’ll help lead the SEC’s best secondary in 2016.

7. Donovan Wilson, Texas A&M: A combo cover force who also plays safety and has drawn comparisons to Tyrann Mathieu, Wilson finished third in the SEC with five interceptions.

6. Chris Westry, Kentucky: Long, athletic defender had 2 INTs as a freshman, including the first one this season off Dak Prescott.

5. Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama: One reason converted corner Eddie Jackson was able to stay at safety this season was the play of Fitzpatrick and Humphrey on the outside. Fitzpatrick was particularly good, returning 2 INTs for TDs this season.

4. Kevin Toliver, LSU: Had just one interception as a freshman, but he’s projected as the next great one out of DBU. So said a qualified teammate, Tre’Davious White.

“His coverage skills are next to none, and he wants to come up and hit, too, so, I mean, I feel like going forward, he’s gonna make a big name for himself, because he’s great in coverage,” White told nola.com. “And it starts with how disciplined he is at the line of scrimmage and his footwork and the way he works his technique. He’s very technically sound, so I feel like he’s gonna be a great one.”

3. Cam Sutton, Tennessee: ESPN’s Todd McShay listed Sutton as a potential first-round pick. Instead, he’s returning to anchor the Vols’ title drive. And when they say title drive, they’re not just talking about the SEC East.

2. Tre’Davious White, LSU: White was a legitimate threat to bolt for the NFL. He’ll return for a senior season and will battle Jalen Tabor to be the league’s highest picked corner in 2017.

1. Jalen Tabor, Florida: Opponents knew better than to test Hargreaves, but Tabor was more than up to the task when they threw his way.
