Colin Cowherd is no stranger to releasing bold takes. Among his latest are his top-25 college football rankings, which don’t have Alabama at No. 1 and don’t have the team that just won a national title even cracking the top 10.

There are several questionable teams ahead of Georgia in these rankings and some that have some real dark horse potential, but haven’t consistently shown to be on the same level the Bulldogs are expected to be on in 2022.

Here’s a look at Cowherd’s top-10

1. Ohio State
2. Alabama
3. USC
4. Texas
5. Tennessee
6. UCLA
7. Utah
8. Nebraska
9. Louisville
10. UNC

It’s reasonable to expect that Ohio State will be within the top three and with the way things look on paper, it could be a three-way race between the Buckeyes, Alabama and Georgia when it comes down to who will ultimately win the national title.

But to put Ohio State above Alabama is somewhat audacious and it’s even more bold to put teams like Louisville and Utah who still have something to prove this season on top of the team that just won it all and features great talent on both sides of the ball in 2022.

Every year, though, there are lesser-talked about teams that emerge and demand national attention. Whether or not any of Cowherd’s teams that are ranked much higher than in most other lists can do this will remain to be seen.
