One of the top offensive tackles in the Class of 2016 was thought to be leaning towards Mississippi State until now.

Four-star prospect Scott Lashley, rated as the No. 18 player at his position and No. 8 recruit in the state of Mississippi according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, chose Alabama over Mississippi State and LSU during his ceremony at West Point High School.

The Bulldogs were thought to the leader for Lashley despite the fact that he de-committed from MSU back in May.

The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder joins fellow four-star Mississippi product Nigel Knott, a cornerback out of Madison, in committing to the Crimson Tide.
