With Week 5 out of the way, ESPN has once again updated its SEC power rankings.

It appears that the “Worldwide Leader” agrees with most of the rest of the college football world on which teams from the SEC should be near the top.

Alabama, Georgia and Auburn — thanks to outstanding defense — all appear to be a step ahead of the rest of the conference at this point.

The Crimson Tide may be even further ahead than the latter pair because of its exceptional offense.

Traditional SEC powers LSU and Tennessee have fallen all the way to No. 10 and No. 11, which has resulted in hot seat talk for the coaches of those specific schools.

Here are the full rankings, which could certainly be shaken up once again after this weekend:

1. Alabama (5-0)

2. Georgia (5-0)

3. Auburn (4-1)

4. Texas A&M (4-1)

5. Florida (3-1)

6. Mississippi State (3-2)

7. Kentucky (4-1)

8. Vanderbilt (3-2)

9. Arkansas (2-2)

10. LSU (3-2)

11. Tennessee (3-2)

12. South Carolina (3-2)

13. Ole Miss (2-2)

14. Missouri (1-3)
