Travis Haney writes about college football for ESPN.

Apparently, he also takes exception to things Tweeted by official conference Twitter accounts.

Alabama held its national championship celebration in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, and it was awesome.

It featured national title trophies, the Heisman Trophy and appearances by all of the Crimson Tide stars.

So, needless to say, it was a good day for Alabama and fans of the SEC.

It was celebrated as such by SEC commissioner Greg Sankey, who was in attendance to present the CFP trophy and make some remarks.

One of his remarks was Tweeted out by the league’s Twitter account:

That prompted a quick retort from the ESPN scribe:

Is he right?

Is it fair to say that the perceived dominance of the SEC hinged upon that crazy overtime between Arkansas and Ole Miss back in early November?

We should note that had Ole Miss won that game, the Rebels were on their way to winning the SEC West (assuming things would have played out exactly the way they did for the rest of the season), which would have set up a rematch with the Gators in the SEC title game.

That scenario could have presumably left the Crimson Tide, and perhaps the conference as a whole, out of the College Football Playoff discussion.

Alabama beat writer Aaron Suttles may have put it best with his response to Haney:
