Former SEC quarterback John Rhys Plumlee is making a name for himself in college baseball, too.

Plumlee, who quarterbacked UCF to a 9-5 record last season, robbed a home run vs. Clemson on Sunday afternoon. This came one day after he hit a home run for the Golden Knights.

Here’s the play:

UCF went on to win this game 13-6, completing a 3-game sweep of the Tigers.

Plumlee played quarterback for Ole Miss from 2019-21. He transferred to Central Florida before the 2022 season and won the starting job in Gus Malzahn’s offense. He threw for 2,586 yards and rushed for another 862 yards last season while scoring 25 total touchdowns.

As a baseball player, Plumlee is coming into his own. He’s hitting .318 on the year with an OPS of .862. The speedster is also 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts so far this season.

Plumlee will return to the gridiron in the fall to play quarterback for Central Florida.
