Everyone is entitled to their own opinions when it comes to ranking teams in college football. Even if you don’t agree, you can’t help but dissect every aspect of the ranking and break it down piece by piece.

In the latest edition of FOX Sports analyst RJ Young’s top 25 rankings, the SEC remained dominant with 8 teams in the top 25. No surprise Georgia and Alabama led the way at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, following wins over South Carolina and Louisiana-Monroe.

Kentucky, which could be one of the few teams in the SEC East to give Georgia a run for its money, jumped up to No. 6 following its 31-0 win over Youngstown State. Meanwhile, Arkansas and Tennessee fell back-to-back at No. 11 and No. 12, respectively following wins over Missouri State and Akron.

Ole Miss came in at No. 18 following its 42-0 win over Georgia Tech on the road. Texas A&M rebounded at home with a 17-9 win over Miami to remain in the top 25 another week. Currently, Young has the Aggies at No. 20.

Florida, which needed a bad snap and few prayers to hold on against South Florida, rounded out Young’s top 25 at No. 23. The biggest riser was Washington, which made its debut following a 39-28 win over then-No. 11 Michigan State.

Young’s list featured 8 SEC schools, 6 Big Ten schools, 4 Pac-12 schools, 4 Big 12 schools, 2 ACC schools and BYU.
