Published:
Georgia Tech is the next Power 5 school to begin closing in on hiring a new head coach, following the firing of Geoff Collins.
Reports stated that the Yellow Jackets were honing in on Tulane’s Willie Fritz, but instead seem to be focused on Brent Key, who has been serving as interim head coach since Collins’ firing.
Key was Georgia Tech’s former offensive line coach and run game coordinator.
Sources: Georgia Tech is targeting interim Brent Key to be the next head coach. The details are being worked out, and it should be finalized in the next 24 hours.

Key spent a few years in the SEC at one point, serving as Alabama’s OL coach from 2016-2018. He played right guard at Georgia Tech in the late 90s and spent a lot of time coaching UCF.
