Joel Klatt included 4 SEC teams in his list of the top 10 college football teams since 2000.

The FOX broadcaster listed 2001 Miami as his No. 1 team, followed by 2005 Texas, 2004 Southern Cal and 2019 LSU. Each of his top 10 teams won national titles.

The 2001 Miami team included 11 first-round NFL Draft choices. The 2005 Texas team, led by Vince Young, defeated Southern Cal for the national title. The 2004 Southern Cal team led by Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leonard. The 2019 LSU team, led by Heisman winner Joe Burrow, routed Clemson in the title game.

In Klatt’s dream 4-team Playoff of the 2000s, Miami and Southern Cal advance to the championship game.

Klatt picks Southern Cal to win in an “upset” over a Miami team he concedes is the “consensus No. 1” of many experts.

“I like Leinart. I think that USC team could be Miami,” Klatt said, noting that Southern Cal also had future Heisman winner Reggie Bush and “stomped” Oklahoma in the title game.

Klatt admitted that he may have had some bias for Texas and Oklahoma, two teams he faced during his career as a quarterback at Colorado, and for Southern Cal, led by Leinart, a FOX colleague.

The rest of Klatt’s top 10:

10. 2019 Ohio State

9. 2013 Florida State

8. 2008 Florida

7. 2021 Georgia

6. 2018 Clemson

5. 2020 Alabama
