The SEC had plenty of exciting and productive performances on Saturday, and ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit took notice.

Herbstreit listed four SEC players among his top six Players of the Week, including the top two being Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond and Alabama RB Najee Harris. Georgia LB Monty Rice and Missouri LB Connor Bazelak also rounded out the group.

Mond threw for 338 yards and 3 TDs against Florida, while Harris rushed for over 200 yards and five TDs against Ole Miss. Bazelak threw for 406 yards and four touchdowns in the upset win over LSU, while he completed over 85 percent of his passes. Rice had eight tackles to pace the Georgia defense, a sack, two tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Mond became the all-time leader in Texas A&M history with 8,224 passing yards during his 338-yard game against the Gators. Harris caught three passes for 42 yards and averaged 9.5 yards per touch (26 for 248), and recorded eight explosive plays of at least 12 yards, six rushes and two receptions.

Bazelak posted Mizzou’s best-ever completion percentage (85.3 percent) against a ranked opponent or FBS opponent, a mark that is also a Mizzou freshman record and ranks second in school history.
