Lee Corso is taking a big swing with a prediction for 1 of the biggest contests of the college football weekend.

The longtime member of ESPN’s College GameDay recently revealed to his fellow show member Kirk Herbstreit that he’s taking No. 12 Missouri over host No. 2 Georgia.

Defending back-to-back national champion Georgia is currently off to an 8-0 record going into the matchup vs. Missouri (7-1). Georgia hasn’t lost a game Alabama beat them in the 2021 SEC title game.

Georgia is coming off a 43-20 victory last weekend vs. rival Florida. Quarterback Carson Beck completed 19 of his 28 passes for 315 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Daijun Edwards rushed for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns. Georgia’s defense applied plenty of pressure up front with 8 tackles for loss.

Missouri just had a bye week. The week before they defeated South Carolina 34-12. The Missouri defense forced quarterback Spencer Rattler went 23-for-40 with 217 yards, no touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Cody Schrader amassed 159 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground.

Georgia leads the all-time series 11-1 with a 9-game winning streak against Missouri. Georgia won last season’s meeting 26-22 in Columbia. Missouri’s lone victory vs. Georgia was a 41-26 road victory in 2013.

Missouri at Georgia is slated for a 3:30 p.m. EST kickoff and will be televised on CBS.
