LOOK: Georgia pastor takes Georgia-Florida rivalry to new level with Easter sermon
The Florida-Georgia rivalry is one of the fiercest in the SEC, and that rivalry got taken to a new level by a pastor this Easter Sunday.
Every fanbase sees its team as the “good guys” and the other team as evil, and that’s what this pastor played into.
As you can see below, he has the Gators representing sin, death and other bad things, with the Bulldogs representing new and eternal life, among other positive qualities:

This is just a guess on my part, but I’d say that portion of the sermon probably went over pretty well in Dawg Nation.
Perhaps there was a Gainesville pastor doing the exact same thing somewhere today, but with the teams flipped.
