By now, we all know what happened Thursday night.

Alabama massacred Michigan State and continued to prove why it is the most-successful program in college football.

We’ve had a chance to sit down and digest exactly what we saw. Jake Coker’s brilliance when the Crimson Tide needed it the most. Alabama’s defense taking complete control, guided by Georgia-coach-in-waiting Kirby Smart. It was truly a spectacle.

Over the last 24 hours, national media outlets have formed their opinions and put together articles, columns, videos and other commentary.

Lets’ take a look at what the national media is saying about Alabama:

1. USA Today believes Alabama vs. Clemson will be a great matchup. Sure, that sounds obvious but Paul Myerberg breaks down the Tigers offense vs. the Alabama defense. He hones in specifically on the Clemson offense and how it may produce matchup issues for the top-ranked Alabama defense.

2. Colin Cowherd doesn’t think Alabama’s dominance and “boring style of play” are good for the sport. Check this out! On Cowherd’s radio show he came out and said that the Crimson Tide’s dominance is bad for college football.  You have to take what he said in context, but still.

3. In another piece, For the Win credits Lane Kiffin with Thursday’s victory. The Alabama offense was clicking on all cylinders. The article states that Alabama outgained Michigan State 444 yards to 239. And 286 of the Tide’s yards came from passes. Kiffin understood the Spartans would prepare for Derrick Henry and planned accordingly.

4. The Alabama players aren’t getting cocky. The Chicago Tribune paints a vivid picture of the Alabama mood after beating Michigan State. The Crimson Tide knows it has plenty of work left to do and isn’t celebrating Thursday’s win for too long.

5. Jake Coker should no longer be viewed as simply a game manager. Andy Staples of Sports Illustrated takes an in depth look at Coker’s performance and how he revitalized the Alabama offense.
