Some fans want to see their team beat its biggest rival. Others want revenge on a particular opponent. Or some might want to topple a huge challenger for an upset win.

Whatever the reason may be, each fan base has one game circled on the calendar for the upcoming season, and they’ll either be buying tickets or making their plans for watching the game well in advance.

Here’s a game for each SEC West school that fans likely want to see their team win the most this year.

Alabama: vs. Auburn on Nov. 24

Crimson Tide fans already hate the Tigers. But there’s even more hatred toward them after what happened in the Iron Bowl last season.

In 2017, Auburn defeated Alabama, 26-14, to earn a berth in the SEC championship game against Georgia. It’s always a bitter rivalry, but the fact that the Tigers took away the Crimson Tide’s chances at winning another SEC title will have Alabama fans seeking revenge.

Arkansas: vs. Texas A&M on Sept. 29

The Razorbacks have been dominated by the Aggies recently. Texas A&M has won six straight meetings between the two schools, dating back to 2012, including last year when it won, 50-43, in overtime.

This matchup has taken place at AT&T Stadium the past four seasons — and it will again in 2018 — and three of those games have gone to overtime. Arkansas fans certainly want to see this rivalry swing back the other way.

Auburn: at Georgia on Nov. 10

Tigers fans always want to beat Alabama, but they may want a victory over Georgia just as badly this season. “The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry” took place two times last season. And while Auburn won the first meeting, 40-17, it lost when the stakes where higher.

The Bulldogs beat the Tigers, 28-7, in last year’s SEC championship game. They then went on to make the College Football Playoff and play Alabama for the national championship. Auburn missed out on the CFP, and it’ll want revenge against Georgia.

LSU: vs. Alabama on Nov. 3

Nick Saban left LSU at the end of the 2004 season, then later returned to the SEC to become the coach at Alabama in 2007. His Crimson Tide have dominated the Tigers recently, winning seven straight meetings between the two schools, dating back to 2012.

Alabama is also the reigning national champions, so an upset over the Tide could certainly give LSU a huge boost during the upcoming season.

Mississippi State: vs. Florida on Sept. 29

Dan Mullen makes his return to Starkville, but it’s unlikely that Bulldogs fans will be happy to see him. The former Mississippi State coach left after last season to take the job at Florida.

The Bulldogs won the last time these two schools played in 2010, and not much would make Mississippi State fans happier than to see a victory over the coach who left them.

Ole Miss: vs. Mississippi State on Nov. 22

It’s one of the biggest rivalry games in the SEC every season. And after notching a win in the Egg Bowl last season, the Rebels have a chance to start a winning streak against their top rival.

Ole Miss won’t be eligible for a bowl game again this year, so this is certainly the matchup that fans will once again be most excited about.

Texas A&M: vs. LSU on Nov. 24

The Aggies have lost seven straight matchups with the Tigers, including last year when they fell, 45-21. Texas A&M hasn’t notched a win over LSU since 1995.

If the Jimbo Fisher era is going to be successful for the Aggies, they’ll likely need to end this long losing streak against the Tigers.
