It’s time for some expert predictions for Week 4 in the SEC.

There are nine games involving SEC teams this week, so let’s take a look at projected outcomes for Saturday’s matchups, according to four different media outlets — USA TODAY, Athlon Sports, Bleacher Report and FBSchedules.

SEC PICKS BY USA TODAY COLUMNIST DAN WOLKEN

  • Alabama over Kent State
  • Ole Miss over Georgia
  • Florida over Tennessee
  • Arkansas over Texas A&M
  • LSU over Auburn

Note: After finishing 7-0 in SEC picks last week with a conservative approach, Dan is much more aggressive this week, taking two upsets. He thinks Florida will improve its 11-game winning streak against Tennessee in Knoxville and has Arkansas beating Texas A&M for the first time since joining the SEC in 2012.

SEC PICKS BY ATHLON SPORTS EDITOR STEVEN LASSAN

  • Alabama over Kent State
  • Ole Miss over Georgia
  • Mississippi State over UMass
  • Missouri over Delaware State
  • Western Kentucky over Vanderbilt
  • LSU over Auburn
  • Kentucky over South Carolina
  • Texas A&M over Arkansas
  • Tennessee over Florida

Note: Losing to Western Kentucky for a second straight season would do some serious damage to Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason’s chances of being retained next offseason. Bovada lists the Commodores as 8-point underdogs this time around, and Lassan thinks they’ll fall to 1-3 on the year before the heart of SEC play begins.

SEC PICKS BY BLEACHER REPORT COLUMNIST BRIAN PEDERSEN

  • Alabama 53, Kent State 7
  • Ole Miss 28, Georgia 24
  • Tennessee 26, Florida 21
  • Mississippi State 33, UMass 19
  • Missouri 62, Delaware 16
  • Western Kentucky 27, Vanderbilt 20
  • Auburn 23, LSU 21
  • Kentucky 27, South Carolina 24
  • Arkansas 31, Texas A&M 28

Note: I had to take this line from Brian regarding the LSU-Auburn game, in which he picks the home team Tigers to win in a very close upset.

The fan forums during and afterward will be almost as entertaining as this mutual must-win game. The losing coach could seal his own fate, while the winner might only be prolonging the inevitable.

It seems like Les Miles’ and Gus Malzahn’s job security is evaluated on a week-to-week basis, and one way or another, someone is going to be under the microscope on Sunday morning.

SEC PICKS BY FBSCHEDULES WRITER ERIC TAYLOR

  • Alabama 41, Kent State 0
  • Ole Miss 34, Georgia 28
  • Florida 24, Tennessee 10
  • Mississippi State 40, UMass 17
  • Missouri 52, Delaware 3
  • Western Kentucky 34, Vanderbilt 20
  • LSU 9, Auburn 5
  • South Carolina 28, Kentucky 17
  • Arkansas 41, Texas A&M 28

Note: It’s hard to blame Eric for going 4-6 last week. Georgia true freshman QB Jacob Eason saved the Bulldogs’ season by tossing a game-winning touchdown on 4th-and-10 to beat Missouri by a point, and it’s not like South Carolina blew the doors off East Carolina. He’s hoping to right the ship in Week 4 with what would be an interesting outcome for several teams.
