Florida and Vanderbilt had a heated altercation on Saturday, involving coaches Dan Mullen and Derek Mason. However, no discipline is coming down from the SEC.

According to Adam Sparks of The Tennessean, the SEC will not discipline the Gators or the Commodores for the incident, which involved the coaches exchanging heated words and two Florida players getting ejected.

“Any discussion about decorum among the coaches will be handled privately between the conference office and the participating institutions,” an SEC spokesman told The Tennessean.

The confrontation came after a targeting call occurred near the Florida sideline. Mason and Mullen shouted at each other, with Mullen having to be restrained by an official and an assistant coach.

“Unsportsmanlike conduct penalties were appropriately administered on the field by the officials,” SEC spokesman Herb Vincent said in a statement, per The Tennessean. “Any discussion about decorum among the coaches will be handled privately between the conference office and the participating institutions. Both coaches appeared to put this issue behind them in their postgame midfield meeting and postgame comments.”

After the incident, Florida went on to beat Vanderbilt, 37-27.
