RJ Young releases updated Heisman contenders entering Week 7
RJ Young named his 5 Heisman candidates entering Week 7 Tuesday on the Number One College Football Show.
Young has 2 SEC inclusions and one huge exclusion as well. Hendon Hooker and Stetson Bennett cracked his list while Bryce Young did not.
And sure, Young has been out the past game and a half, but he’s had as strong a season as anyone in the country.
See for yourself below:
.@RJ_Young drops his top 5 heisman contenders through week 6 ?
1. @OhioStateFB QB C.J. Stroud
2. @UMichFootball RB Blake Corum
3. @GeorgiaFootball QB Stetson Bennett
4. @Vol_Football QB Hendon Hooker

For now, Young’s No. 1 seems to be the obvious pick here. Stroud has been incredible this season and has solidified himself as one of the top players in the nation.
Hendon Hooker has as well. Stetson Bennett, despite a strong start to the season, has regressed in recent weeks. The senior quarterback is in the bottom half of the SEC in pass efficiency and 6th in the SEC in passing touchdowns. His passing yards number is below Will Rogers in the SEC and on par with Hooker.
Still a lot of football left to be played. What do you think of Young’s rankings?
