The 2019 College World Series has arrived. College baseball’s final eight teams have taken in the food, fun and festivities that come with a trip to Omaha. Now it’s time to play ball and give the fans “The Greatest Show on Dirt.”

Fans of Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt are well-aware that it’s down to the eight Super Regional winners, four of which are from the SEC. Also in Omaha are Florida State, Louisville, Michigan and Texas Tech. For any fans, SEC or otherwise, who need a primer on all eight teams, Chris Wright has got you covered.

The slate is wiped clean. Everyone is 0-0 and there is double elimination to determine the final two teams, who will play in a best-of-three championship series. None of the eight teams want to go the dreaded “0-2 and a barbecue.”

The CWS gets started with two games on Saturday and two games on Sunday. Arkansas is the only SEC team in action on Saturday.
