The SEC is expected to announce a 10-year extension this week to keep its league championship game in Atlanta inside the Falcons’ new stadium through the 2026 season, according to the AJC.

This year’s title game and next year’s contest will be played at the Georgia Dome with the 2017 SEC Championship Game moving to the new state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

According to the AJC, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey is expected to officially announce the deal alongside Falcons owner Arthur Blank at the College Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday in Atlanta.
