Odds have been issued for the first SEC coach to be fired this season, and it does not look good for Tennessee head coach Butch Jones, according to an article from CBS Sports.

Jones is now the leader in the pack to be the first coach fired in 2017, according to BetOnline.ag. His odds are at +150 to be let go.

Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin is not far behind at +275.

Here is the full list of SEC coaches’ current odds to be fired, excluding Ole Miss interim coach Matt Luke, who was not listed:

Butch Jones +150

Kevin Sumlin +275

Gus Malzahn +600

Ed Orgeron +700

Barry Odom +700

Bret Bielema +1200

Will Muschamp +1400

Mark Stoops +1400

Jim McElwain +1600

Dan Mullen +2000

Derek Mason +2500

Kirby Smart +12500

Nick Saban +25000

“It’s clear that oddsmakers expect Jones and Sumlin to both be fired, and Tennessee seems to be the more volatile of the two programs,” the CBS report stated. “Jones has surpassed Sumlin due in large part to the rather listless performance in The Swamp in which Jones seemingly forgot that running back John Kelly was running like a man possessed when the Vols got inside the 10-yard line.”

One other note on these odds … it seems that the general public and Vegas have quite differing opinions on Bret Bielema and Jim McElwain.
