ESPN updated its Top 300 prospects for the 2017 recruiting class on Thursday morning and what immediately stands out is that a fourth of the top 100 will be playing football in the SEC.

As things stand, 25 of the top 100 overall players are committed to the SEC, with four (and potentially more in the coming weeks) in the top 10.

“The latest ESPN 300 update puts a major emphasis on senior film evaluation and fall production,” recruiting analysts Craig Haubert and Tom Luginbill wrote. “In this edition, there is significant movement inside the running back, wide receiver and offensive line rankings. The final update will take place in January and reflect the remainder of this senior season and all-star game performances.”
