To be invited to the Manning Passing Academy as a counselor is an awesome accomplishment, and to get to mingle with the biggest family name in quarterbacking is an experience of a lifetime.

Several SEC QBs are expected to attend this weekend, too, as counselors: Alabama’s Jalen Hurts, Arkansas’ Austin Allen, LSU’s Danny Etling, Mississippi State’s Nick Fitzgerald, Ole Miss’ Shea Patterson and South Carolina’s Jake Bentley. Other non-SEC expected attendees are Louisville’s Lamar Jackson, USC’s Sam Darnold, Wyoming’s Josh Allen, Purdue’s David Blough, WKU’s Mike White and Washington’s Jake Browning.

Former No. 1 picks such as Matthew Stafford, Sam Bradford, Andrew Luck and Jameis Winston have attended the event in the past.

The four-day clinic starts Thursday and will be held on the campus of Nicholls State University. In addition to being counselors and mentors to young players, the college QBs, too, will receive instruction from Peyton, Eli, Cooper and Archie, along with QB Country’s David Morris and others. The most prized part of the camp will take place during the “Saturday Night Lights” portion, which is the Air-It-Out and Quarterback Challenge events.
