We may not have gotten to see the 2020 SEC Tournament played in Nashville this March but it looks like we will get an interesting event to start the SEC’s 2020-21 basketball season featuring several of the programs that would have faced off in Nashville.

According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, the SEC is set to send Alabama, LSU and Mississippi State to Atlanta’s State Farm Arena next season for an event featuring several games on Dec. 12.

State Farm Arena is home to the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA.

Full details of the event have yet to be released but Rothstein is reporting that Alabama and Clemson will play, LSU and South Florida and Mississippi State and Dayton.

A fourth game “could still be added” to the lineup, according to Rothstein.

It may not be the 2020 SEC Tournament, but this should be a nice way to ring in the upcoming basketball season next December.
