The first top ten team to fall in Week 3 is No. 6 Wisconsin, who went down to BYU 24-21 on Saturday. BYU came to Madison at 1-1, and won with quarterback Tanner Mangum only throwing for 89 yards.

It was a back and forth game from start to finish, and the two teams traded touchdowns in the first and second quarters for a 14-14 deadlock at halftime. Wisconsin running back Taiwan Deal scored from 5 yards with 12:43 left to tie the game at 21, but 45-yard field goal by Skyler Southam gave BYU a 24-21 lead. Wisconsin kicker Rafael Gaglianone hooked a 42-yard field goal attempt left with 36 seconds to go, and the final was 24-21.

Wisconsin is a team that has the College Football Playoff in their mind after losing their chance in 2017 to Ohio State in the B1G Championship Game. Those chances just took a huge hit with the upset, and Badger fans are not happy.

Wisconsin running back and Heisman candidate Jonathan Taylor ran 26 times for 117 yards and no scores. The Badgers would likely have to run the table to have at getting into the Playoff, and still have matchups against Michigan and Penn State on the horizon.
