The SEC has a pair of dominant teams and several other schools that have had strong starts to the season. So it’s no surprise that seven teams from the conference appear in the top 25 of the CBS Sports rankings through Week 6.

CBS Sports ranks Alabama at No. 1 and Georgia at No. 3, which would have both in position to make the College Football Playoff at the end of the season. Five other SEC schools are in its top 25, led by Florida at No. 13.

The Gators made a big jump in the rankings after beating LSU, which is now ranked No. 14 by CBS, on Saturday.
