Tim Tebow was a guest on “The Dan Patrick Show” on Monday and was asked about potential advice he might give Urban Meyer if his former coach looked for some information about Arizona State or Nebraska.

Tebow said he believes Nebraska is a better job, but that Arizona State is not a bad job, and likely has a better recruiting footprint.

“You have one of the best fan bases in college football,” Tebow said of Nebraska. “You have the ability there to raise money, and now with the NIL in college football, even though it’s not the best recruiting base, Nebraska still has a pretty well-known name. And you can rally that fan base to be able to go get some of the players you need.”

As for the Sun Devils, Tebow said players like South Carolina’s Spencer Rattler, and Florida’s Jack Miller came from that area recruiting footprint.

But the tradition at Nebraska is unmatched, and Tebow recalled doing some events with Tom Osborne at Nebraska and how the fans rallied and loved their team was memorable.

“They want their team to win, they’re going to support, it’s one of the best fan bases, not to mention, it’s probably one of the nicest,” Tebow said. “If they got someone like Urban, I think you could rally it very fast, you could get more players than maybe a lot of other places around the country.”
