Lincoln Riley late Saturday night seemingly put an end to the possibility that he would leave Oklahoma for LSU, but a college football insider reports that Riley may still be in the sights of another big-time program: Southern Cal.

Riley is in his fifth season as the coach at Oklahoma and told reporters after the tough loss to Oklahoma State that he is staying in Norman. But that doesn’t close out another prominent program from going after Riley.

“Would not be surprised if USC took a big swing to try and pry Lincoln Riley away from OU now,” Bruce Feldman of The Athletic reported.

Saturday’s loss likely knocked Oklahoma out of College Football Playoff contention. Riley is 55-10 in 5 seasons at Oklahoma. Oklahoma won the Big 12 in his first 4 seasons and also has 3 College Football Playoff appearances under his belt. The 10-2 Sooners will not add to the trophy case in that way this season.
