Lane Kiffin shares hilarious Nick Saban, mustard bottle meme after Tennessee's win over Alabama
Lane Kiffin seems to be enjoying Tennessee’s win over Alabama. Kiffin, a prolific social media user, shared a meme on Sunday comparing Nick Saban’s Neyland Stadium experience to his own from 2021.
In the second quarter of Saturday’s game, Saban had a sideline meltdown following an Alabama turnover. Sunday, Kiffin tweeted a screenshot of an edited image suggesting Saban was reacting to being hit in the head by a mustard bottle, one of the objects associated with Kiffin’s return to Neyland Stadium in 2021 as an opposing head coach.

Kiffin was a head coach at Tennessee (2009) and assistant at Alabama (2014-16). This weekend, however, Kiffin wasn’t shy about which side he was pulling for.
During a remote live appearance on “College GameDay,” Kiffin told the Tennessee crowd “Go Vols!” and suggested both Ole Miss and UT take down teams from the Yellowhammer State. On the game-winning field goal, Kiffin tweeted “make it this time,” a reference to his heartbreaking experience against the Crimson Tide as Tennessee’s head coach in 2009.
