For fans and players at Washington, life is good to begin 2024.

The Huskies are on their way to the College Football Playoff National Championship, holding on for a thrilling 37-31 win over Texas in Monday’s Sugar Bowl. The win also gives Washington and head coach Kalen DeBoer back-to-back bowl victories over Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns.

While Washington moves on to face Michigan for the national title, a few Huskies were relishing in the win, much to the disdain of some Longhorn fans. A group of Texas fans were spotted jawing with some Washington players, including a few NSFW comments from one Longhorn fan.

Two of the Huskies involved appear to be Jaivion Green and Dyson McCutcheon with comments of “We run the South” and “2-0” directed at the fans. In response, one fan dropped multiple expletives while urging the players on with “let’s go.”
