It’s official: Virginia and Ohio will play at Vanderbilt Stadium this Saturday.

The game was relocated due to Hurricane Florence, which gives the Charlottesville, Va., area a chance of severe impending weather. This will provide emergency personnel the ability to focus on the needs of the citizens potentially affected by the hurricane this weekend.

Admission to the game at Vanderbilt Stadium will be free. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. ET.

“Our top priority is the safety of everyone involved, and I appreciate the understanding of our fans,” Virginia athletics director Carla Williams said in a press release. “We’re extremely grateful to Vanderbilt University and vice chancellor for athletics and university affairs and athletics director David Williams for graciously supporting our efforts. We look forward to returning to Scott Stadium for the Louisville game on Sept. 22.”

Virginia will have to travel more than eight hours from Charlottesville to Nashville for the game, but it is certainly warranted with the weather forecast for this weekend.

Vanderbilt is traveling to Notre Dame on Saturday, which left Vanderbilt Stadium free for the Virginia-Ohio game to be moved there.
