Ever been to The Grove?

If not, you’re missing out.

The University of Mississippi has the noteworthy distinction of being named college football’s best school for tailgating, according to Total Frat Move’s most recent Top 10 power ranking.

LSU and Alabama are also featured from the SEC.

Total Frat Move’s Top 10 for Tailgating

  1. Ole Miss
  2. LSU
  3. Penn State
  4. Washington
  5. Iowa
  6. Clemson
  7. Alabama
  8. SMU
  9. Texas Tech
  10. North Dakota State

Here’s what Total Frat Move had to say about the Rebels, Tigers and Crimson Tide’s tailgating expertise:

Ole Miss

The Grove has everything you want in a tailgate. Often imitated, but never duplicated. Ole Miss is just a step above the rest. The gold standard. Nothing else to say, really.

LSU

LSU tailgates get out of control. No shit. Pledge fights between fraternities break out on the reg. That’s not because of built-up anger between organizations; it’s because when you liquor up a bunch of college-aged Cajun assholes, stick them in the 95 degree heat, and bake them for four hours, folks get a little ornery. I’m not bashing on this behavior at all. In fact, I’m relishing in it, because it’s Baton Rouge and you’re there to get rowdy. Amidst the ocean of alcohol, you’ll find good Cajun food and even better women.

Alabama

Don’t really know much about their tailgating scene, but I just assume that the fans will tell you that they are the best at it. Like I do whenever an Alabama fan says they are the best at something, I knock ’em down a few pegs to see their reaction, which is why they come in at number 7. On one hand, you have gorgeous women, one of the best Greek scenes in the nation, a great football atmosphere, and Kristen Saban. What could go wrong? I might have to make a trip to T-Town to verify this ranking and immediately cross them off, or nod my head and say, “You did alright with this pick, Monty.”
