Another week is in the books in the SEC, and while the conference enjoyed another great slate of games, the biggest news of Week 6 is probably the injury to Georgia running back Nick Chubb. While our thoughts go out to Chubb, other players get our dunce cap award.

Here’s a look at some of the forgettable moments from Week 6 action in the SEC. Advanced apologies go out to Georgia, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

5. Tennessee fan makes a break for it

There are security guards working at Neyland Stadium that might be better tacklers than the Georgia Bulldogs were in Week 6 against Tennessee in Knoxville. One (surely sore today) UT fan found that out the hard way after attempting to storm the field after the Vols’ 38-31 upset win over Georgia. One word: blammo.

4. Get ’em next time

Carlos Davis returned two punts for 9 yards against New Mexico State in Week 6, but there was nothing graceful about this one. Fortunately for the Ole Miss junior defensive back — who also registered 2 tackles — the Rebels were able to overcome 3 turnovers to cruise to a 52-3 win.

3. New Mexico State targeting

New Mexico State linebacker Rodney Butler was initially flagged and ejected from the Aggies’ Week 6 contest against Ole Miss for targeting Rebels quarterback Chad Kelly. The refs went back and reversed the call, reinstating Butler back in the game. What do you think? Did Butler target Kelly?

2. Tennessee face stomp

An unfortunate aspect of football is the occasional stomping. Things happen in the heat of the moment, but a cleat to the face of an opponent is about as classless as you can get on the gridiron. The latest incident happened during Week 6 in Neyland Stadium. In the video, it appears that Tennessee special teams player John Kelly intentionally drives his foot into the front of Georgia outside linebacker Chuks Amaechi. Kelly, or whoever is deemed responsible, should expect a call from the league offices this week after they review the game footage.

1. Chubb’s frightening knee injury

How strong is your stomach? Because if you get queasy relatively easily, the video of Nick Chubb’s devastating knee injury from Week 6 against Tennessee is not for you. The Georgia running back is the story of the weekend after allegedly tearing his PCL and two ligaments, said his mother La’Velle Chubb via her Facebook page. She also went on to say that the sophomore will likely need surgery after the swelling goes down. The injury is the worst thing that happened in the SEC this weekend, and immediately drew comparisons to running backs who have suffered a similar fate — such as Willis McGahee and Marcus Lattimore, the latter who also shredded his knee in 2012 against Tennessee.
