The matchup in Super Bowl 50 was set Sunday when the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers defended their home fields in a contrasting pair of conference championship games.

The Panthers pounded the Arizona Cardinals behind four total touchdowns from Auburn standout Cam Newton in the NFC title game, while Denver got two touchdown passes from Tennessee alum Peyton Manning to nip the New England Patriots and win the AFC Championship.

Carolina and Denver have enough SEC players on their respective teams to go 11-on-11 in the Super Bowl. Among the 106 active players slated to suit up for this year’s game in Santa Clara, Calif., a whopping 23 players (22 percent) hail from conference schools.
