Fans love it any time Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso come to town, but is it bad luck for a team to be featured on ESPN’s College GameDay?

While many SEC fans are likely rolling their eyes, Aggies everywhere are probably saying, “Yes, it’s real.”

Reddit user StrikerObi over at the popular community r/CFB has crunched all the numbers, and his findings show that the ESPN program has not been helpful to Texas A&M.

The Aggies are first mentioned in the “It Sucks To Be” section of the post. The data shows that 26 teams have gone winless in GameDay appearances, and 16 of those teams have only appeared once. Of the remaining 10, TAMU leads with five losing appearances.

To add insult to injury, four of Texas A&M’s five appearances have been home games in College Station, leading StrikerObi to dub the Aggies “Cursed on Campus.”

When it comes to total appearances, Alabama and Florida are tied for a leading 36 total appearances. UA claims more home appearances with 15 to UF 12. In those appearances, the Crimson Tide has posted a record of 23-13, while the Gators are one game better, 24-12.

Alabama’s appearances in 16 seasons leads all SEC teams, followed closely by LSU (15). The Bayou Bengals have the longest active streak of at least one appearance per season (2003-2015).

So Aggies fans, when will the GameDay curse finally be broken?
