SEC sending 28 players to Super Bowl 51
Following Sunday’s NFL conference championship game finals, the field is now set for the final football game of consequence of the season as the New England Patriots will take on the Atlanta Falcons in Houston for Super Bowl 51.
Once again, the SEC will be no stranger to the game, as 28 former alumni of the league are set to participate in the biggest football game on the calendar. Alabama leads the way with five former players combined on the rosters with Auburn and LSU represented just behind with four players each on the Super Bowl rosters. Georgia’s three players lead the SEC East, with Florida and Tennessee both sending two players to the big game.
