The first Saturday with multiple SEC spring games has come and gone, and some teams played in front of larger crowds than others.

It may be unfair to base the excitement surrounding a program on the attendance for a glorified practice, but when Georgia managed to pack over 93,000 people into Sanford Stadium last year, the ripples could be felt outside of Athens.

In the grand scheme of things, spring games do very little for players and coaches outside of adding the pressure of being watched. The game plans are at their most basic and coaches try to reign in the physicality as much as possible in order to avoid something like Mississippi State experienced in its spring game.

Still, it can be a useful recruiting tool, and many programs take the opportunity to invite some prospects to hang out for the weekend. In that aspect, filling the stadium can become an added advantage.

With six spring scrimmages in the books, here are the attendance figures from each school (listed alphabetically).

Auburn: 46,331

Florida: 48,000

Mississippi State: 16,630

Ole Miss: 8,000

South Carolina: 12,345

Texas A&M: 21,000

Eight scrimmages still remain, and it will be interesting to see if Georgia can replicate its 93k Day or if another program can steal the top spot from the Bulldogs.
