The summer of college football lists is slowly coming to an end as the 2017 edition of SEC Media Days will be here next week but before the event kicks off from Hoover, Ala., here’s one more list to hold you over until then.

Bill Bender of the Sporting News recently published a list ranking every single college football head coach heading into the 2017 season. Following a lackluster year from the SEC, outside of Alabama, it’s no real surprise to see only one of the league’s coaches rank inside the Top 15.

No major stunners here, as several of the league’s coaches have much to prove at their current jobs and the only two men that have won an SEC title as a head coach finish atop the list. If Kirby Smart, Barry Odom, Ed Orgeron or Will Muschamp show massive improvements in their second seasons on the job, look for them to make big jumps on next year’s list.

The numbers below indicate where Bender ranked each coach in the nation:

70. Barry Odom, Missouri
67. Derek Mason, Vanderbilt
65. Mark Stoops, Kentucky
50. Will Muschamp, South Carolina
47. Ed Orgeron, LSU
37. Kirby Smart, Georgia
34. Butch Jones, Tennessee
30. Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M
29. Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss
21. Bret Bielema, Arkansas
19. Dan Mullen, Mississippi State
17. Jim McElwain, Florida
16. Gus Malzahn, Auburn
1. Nick Saban, Alabama
