Alabama and Georgia were the final two college football teams to take the field last season and look to be solid bets to be featured in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft.

Bleacher Report recently published Matt Miller’s latest first-round mock draft and the only SEC schools represented in this edition are the two teams that faced off in the National Championship Game.

Could LSU, which had the most early entrants declare for the draft in the SEC, really be shut out of the first round? Without discounting any of the talented Tigers, Florida lineman Taven Bryan, South Carolina tight end Hayden Hurst, Texas A&M receiver Christian Kirk and Mississippi State’s Martinas Rankin are prospects that will generate some buzz in the coming weeks and months.

It won’t be a shock if any or all of them end up in the first round. As for Miller, these are the SEC alums he believes will be taken in round one:

  • #4 — Cleveland (from Houston): DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama

  • #12 — Cincinnati Bengals: LB Roquan Smith, Georgia

  • #16 — Baltimore Ravens: WR Calvin Ridley, Alabama

  • #19 — Dallas Cowboys: DT Da’Ron Payne, Alabama

  • #21 — Buffalo Bills: LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama

  • #24 — Carolina Panthers: OG Isaiah Wynn, Georgia
