There have been some big trades in recent weeks, shaking up the order of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Now, analysts are scrambling to update their mock drafts ahead of the actual event at the end of the month in Dallas.

On Wednesday, former NFL GM Charley Casserly updated his first-round mock draft, and it includes an impressive 10 former SEC players. As you can see below, Alabama DB Minkah Fitzpatrick is the first SEC player off the board at No. 7:

  • No. 7 — Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 12 — Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia — Denver Broncos
  • No. 15 — Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 19 — Da’Ron Payne, DT, Alabama — Dallas Cowboys
  • No. 20 — Derrius Guice, RB, LSU — Detroit Lions
  • No. 22 — Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M — Denver Broncos
  • No. 26 — Taven Byran, DL, Florida — Atlanta Falcons
  • No. 27 — Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina, New Orleans Saints
  • No. 28 — Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama — Pittsburgh Steelers
  • No. 32 — Sony Michel, RB, Georgia — Cleveland Browns

This could all still change, but for now, it is interesting to see so many former SEC players hearing their names called on the first day of the draft.
