Former Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson destroyed for calling Tigers 'state champs' during Bama's White House visit
Alabama is being honored at the White House Tuesday following the program’s latest National Championship season while Auburn is being honored by the Paul Finebaum Show but having Daniel Carlson join the program for an interview.
Finebaum was nice enough to bring up the Crimson Tide’s trip to Washington, D.C, to which Carlson replied, “They might be national champs but we’re state champs.”
Auburn did beat Alabama in the regular season in a dominant 26-14 performance. The win gave the Tigers the SEC West title and a spot in the 2017 SEC Championship Game but essentially also gave Alabama an extra bye week heading into the College Football Playoff when the Tigers lost in Atlanta to Georgia.

Carlson’s comment didn’t exactly go over well on Twitter. Check out some of the responses to his “state champs” line:
Absolute mentality of a loser
