The Alliance of American Football, which SEC fans may best know as the league that’s bringing Steve Spurrier back to the sidelines, has revealed more details about when games will be played and how long they will last.

At a recent press event in Tempe, Arizona, Arizona State athletic director Ray Anderson said that games will be played primarily on Saturdays, with some Sundays. The league is looking to avoid weekday games, citing player safety concerns and to make games more convenient for fans.

Good news if you want to watch the HBC on Saturday afternoons: AAF games will not have TV timeouts, according to league co-founder Charlie Ebersol.

The league, which will have eight teams including the Spurrier-coached Orlando squad, is scheduled to begin play in February 2019.
