Back in 2009, then-Florida assistant Zach Smith was involved in an alleged domestic-violence incident involving his wife, who was pregnant at the time.

On Monday, just before Ohio State’s Tuesday appearance at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago, another allegation surfaced involving the now-Ohio State WR coach.

According to college football insider Brett McMurphy, the new incident reportedly occurred in 2015:

Shortly after the second allegation surfaced on Monday evening, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer fired his longtime assistant:

Smith had been with the Buckeyes since 2012, but after another allegation surfaced, Meyer had no choice but to (reportedly) fire him.

Now, Meyer can expect a few questions about Smith and why he was still on the staff when he speaks to reporters on Tuesday.
