Former 5-star DB Kristian Fulton sat out all of the 2017 season as part of his punishment from the NCAA for cheating on a PED drug test issued by the organization.

Fulton is also supposed to sit out the 2018 season as part of his two-year ban, but the NCAA recently reopened the case and was reconsidering the second year.

On Thursday, though, the Tigers got some bad news. Ross Dellenger reports that the committee has denied Fulton’s appeal, meaning he’ll be out for 2018 as well:

Obviously, this is bad news for the Tigers, as missing two years of football is incredibly difficult to overcome.

Coming out of high school, Fulton was the No. 3 cornerback in the 2017 class and the No. 1 overall player from the state of Louisiana, per the 247Sports composite.
