It’s only Week 2, but Georgia and South Carolina are set to renew their rivalry in Columbia, SC.

While the Bulldogs enter the game as the No. 3 team in the country and the reigning SEC Champions, the CBS Sports analysts on “Inside College Football” were split on who will win this Georgia-South Carolina matchup.

“I saw this game a year ago, and it was very evenly matched,” CBS analyst Rick Neuheisel said. “But here’s the problem: Georgia was able to rush for 240-plus yards last year, and already in Week 1, Coastal Carolina went in there (Columbia) and rushed for 130. That doesn’t sound like much, but they (South Carolina) should be able to stuff the run against a team like Coastal Carolina.

“I’m going to go with Georgia just because of their ability to control the line of scrimmage.”

Fellow CBS analyst Aaron Taylor didn’t agree.

“South Carolina likes to rise to the occasion,” he said. “I like the Gamecocks in a very closely contested battle.”

The other two analysts on this week’s “Inside College Football” episode were also split. Brian Jones picked South Carolina, and Randy Cross predicted Georgia would win.

Georgia is 50-18-2 all-time versus in the series and have won the last three matchups with the Gamecocks. That includes both contests since Kirby Smart and Will Muschamp became the head coaches at both programs in 2016.

However, the Gamecocks have won three of the last four meetings against the Bulldogs in South Carolina.
