An upset-filled Saturday in college football got the attention of PTI hosts Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon, and LSU’s big upset was especially highlighted.

“I think Georgia losing the way Georgia lost was even bigger,” than Penn State, Wilbon said. “I know it was at LSU. I get that. But Georgia got smoked.”

They agreed that Alabama is the only great team in college football.

“I don’t believe Ohio State yet, I’ve got to see more from them, is great,” Wilbon said.

Kornheiser said Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa may be the best college quarterback he’s ever seen.

“Ever?,” Wilbon questioned.

“He puts the ball right on the hands of the receivers,” Kornheiser said. “He’s great, they’re great.”

Kornheiser added that the best time to lose is early, because people forget about it, and he used the examples of Texas losing to Maryland, and Michigan losing to Notre Dame, and how Michigan and Texas are now both ranked in the top 10.

Wilbon added that he expects Notre Dame to lose down the stretch, but Kornheiser wasn’t so sure.

“We do this every year, and I caution you, it’s like counting on the Bengals and Chargers,” Wilbon said.

“You hate Notre Dame and Michigan, people need to know that,” Kornheiser said.
