The College Football Playoff selection committee gets the final say in which four teams are the best in college football, but ESPN’s Football Power Index will continue to tell fans on a weekly basis which teams are the strongest.

The World Wide Leader’s “measure of team strength” has been updated after Week 10. As far as the SEC is concerned, this week’s theme could be welcome back Mizzou. Only seven SEC teams were in the top 25 of last week’s FPI, but Barry Odom’s Tigers are No. 15 in the updated rankings, surrounded by FPI mainstays Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State, LSU, Texas A&M, Auburn and Florida.

  • No. 1 – Alabama
  • No. 3 – Georgia
  • No. 10 – Mississippi State
  • No. 12 – LSU
  • No. 15 – Missouri
  • No. 16 – Texas A&M
  • No. 19 – Auburn
  • No. 20 – Florida

In addition to Missouri moving up from No. 26 after Week 9, other changes include LSU falling two spots, MSU moving up five, Texas A&M moving up one (in defeat), Auburn dropping one (after defeating the Aggies) and Florida plunging eight spots.

The rankings for all 130 FBS teams, including the rest of the SEC, can be viewed here.
