Those watching the Houston-Tulane game Thursday saw an unexpected sideline incident involving a team’s star player and its head coach.

Houston DT Ed Oliver is considered to be one of the top defensive players in the country and an early first-round NFL Draft pick. A nagging injury, however, has kept him out of action, including Thursday night.

Cougars coach Major Applewhite took issue with Oliver wearing a team jacket on the sideline. He told Oliver to take it off because those jackets were only for the players playing in the game. That angered Oliver, who can be seen being held back from the coach as the teams went to the locker room at half time.
