Last year, Scott Frost led the UCF Knights to an undefeated record and a Peach Bowl victory over Auburn.

Then, he took the Nebraska job — his alma mater — and Josh Heupel (Mizzou’s former OC) led the Knights to a perfect mark during the 2018 regular season.

However, Frost didn’t exactly do his old team any favors in the final Coaches Poll before bowl season. According to USA TODAY’s compilation of how coaches voted, Frost’s final ballot looked like this:

  1. Alabama
  2. Clemson
  3. Notre Dame
  4. Ohio State
  5. UCF

That’s right, even Frost doesn’t think his old team should be in the field of four in the College Football Playoff.

That’s a telling vote, and it’ll be interesting to see if Frost is asked about it during the next month.
